Peacock perfect

Some outfits attract the street style photographer crowd like moths to a flame. I can certifiably say that this was one of them.

When the Marni spring 2013 show ended at Milan fashion week, this show-goer could barely leave the premises; every step she took seemed to be halted by another photographer asking to take her photo. It’s the printed blue dress that draws attention in the way a peacock’s feathers do, but it’s also the pairing with mod black and white ankle boots, minimal accessories, and effortlessly tousled hair.

Balancing toughness, the model way

A bright, cobalt blue skirt couldn’t help but stand out from the crowd outside the Alberta Ferretti show during Milan fashion week. Matching to the white lace applique, a white knit layered over a Peter Pan collared shirt kept the look feminine, sweet, and cohesive.

When you have bright colour and lace, no fancy makeup or overdone hairstyles are needed.

Rumi Neely: Gothic 1920's

If you dont know who Rumi Neely is, you might be living under a rock. A lot of people admire her ability to mix and match clothes that would be totally wrong for some but work well for her. Her style is fairly classic but she always makes sure that there are hints of edginess there.

Rumi knows how to play with clothes and this street style photo taken in Paris is the perfect example on why she does it so well.

Nothing is girlier than a feather dress like Rumi’s 1920s inspired frock. She balanced it out with a leather biker jacket and a snakeskin bag. Her outfit hits the balance between looking very chic and looking very badass, which is a hard balance to find sometimes. She played with texture and volume in the right way and she made this all-black outfit look effortless and Parisian chic.
