Go bold or go home

When it comes to colour, sometimes there’s no choice but to throw caution to the wind. If you’re going to go bold it’s no good going half way and then diluting it with timidity. Georgy Rushev’s styling for this shoot by Igor Oussenko tackles the go-hard-or-go-home path and comes out on top. Well on top: fluorescent yellow nailpolish against metallic silver and shiny purple mermaid sequins may not seem like a natural combination, but Rushev proves that it’s the fearlessness that counts where bold colour is concerned. The same can be said for emerald green pleated palazzo pants and a houndstooth tunic, or a red silk jumpsuit tucked into combat boots. Not everyone could or would pull it off, but when worn with conviction? The spotlight is yours.
